Community Conversation on water issues set for Nov. 12
From heavy use by data centers and industrial sites to drainage woes to sea-level rise, water is on many people’s minds in Coastal Georgia. “Water Worries” is the topic of the next installment in the Massie Heritage Center’s “Community Conversation” series. Presented in a panel discussion format, the event features subject matter experts discussing issues of importance to Savannah and nearby communities. The discussion is free and open to the public.

- Damon Mullis, riverkeeper executive director of the Ogeechee River Keeper. His research has focused on how physical and chemical changes in freshwater ecosystems affect their biological communities with projects, among other topics.
- Aaron “Adot” Whitely, Chatham County Commissioner, District 6. Elected in 2020, he is a community activist, entrepreneur, and dedicated educational advocate.
The discussion will be moderated by Dr. John R. Bennett, assistant professor of public administration in the Department of Political Science and Public Affairs at Savannah State University.
