The Evolution of Waters Avenue

The Friends of Massie sponsors lectures for the community. The next lecture, The Evolution of Waters, will be September 28, 2023 at 6:30 pm at Massie Heritage Center at 7:00 pm.  The  doors will open at 6:30 pm.  Future Lectures To Be Announced.

Lecturers:

Tom Kohler – born and stayed Savannahian, who lived in the North of Victory Drive Waters corridor twice. He currently spends time there several times a week but with no financial interests in the area. He is the Executive Director of Chatham-Savannah Citizen Advocacy.
 
Jerome Meadows – professionally self-sustaining, multi-creative resident of the Historic Ice House on Waters since 1997. Founder of MeadowLark Studio and Indigo Sky Community Gallery in that building, he has created numerous public art projects throughout Savannah, including a new public art project at the Enmarket Arena.
 
Clinton Edminster – ageless, moved to Savannah 14 years ago from Homer, Alaska. He is the owner and founder of Starlandia, reclaimed art supply store and Waters Café, which opened earlier this year. He sits on the boards of Savannah Downtown Business Association, Chatham Area Transit, and TED Savannah. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. John R. Bennett, assistant professor of public administration in the Department of Political Science and Public Affairs at Savannah State University.
